    and it used to be. now the pos app is unusable. i’ll never buy another yi product. i cannot do ANYTHING on the app without constant pops that i CAN’T get rid of. they make the stupid x button so small you can’t hit it without going to the ad link. so sick of it. deleting and trashing the 5 cams i had with them. go wyze. hope they don’t screw it up and get greedy like yi did.

  • A little lag but good

    I’ve had the cameras since 2021 i believe. They’re still up and running fine with clear video and audio. My only complaint is that it can take a moment to load. It isn’t a horrible lag time most times, but it still lags.

    This camera is not great specially app, there is a lot of better options for camera app does shows advertising which I really hate, better get Kasa or Tapo or many other cheap camera options available that works well and no ads on app

    Cannot view my own camera that I paid for, unless I sit through minutes of ads. Unsafe, shameless. As someone else said, they should be sued. Do not buy!

    The amount of advertisements and for the lengths they run and users are forced to watch them is ridiculous. The ads make the cameras use negligible, rendering unsafe timely info retrieval. I used to promote this brand and camera but those days are gone. Spend a little more a different brand. This used to be the ring killer now it’s the self killer.

  • Actually ridiculous amount of ads

    I bought the YI home camera years ago and at the time of purchasing the camera, the app was free to use with no ads and I had access to 24 hours of recorded clips. The clips weren’t the most reliable, it would record 6 seconds when it sensed motion but only once every 30 minutes. But it was fine for what I needed. Since then they have limited the footage access to only live feed is free. And now if you don’t pay for the ad free version, it is completely spammed with ads. When you open the app there is a 10-15 second ad that you have to often click X 3-4 times. And the X often doesn’t work and opens a separate page to the ad site. When you get into the app, there are other ads that frame the page and open up the ad site even when you don’t click them. And then on top of that, random ads pop up when trying to review the camera footage. It’s insane. I get wanting people to pay for additional services but the ads are out of control. Doesn’t make me want to pay for the ad free version, just going to delete the app and get a better product.
