Okay so I was paying subscriber… $14.99 A WEEK!!! For at least 6-7 months. All of the sudden my account was suspended for using derogatory remarks and slurs??? I never once even called anyone a name. I would ask for their snap, and then immediately stop talking on that platform. If you want to pay money, and then get it all taken away and lose your account privileges please join this app. You can’t even talk to a real person about an appeal, they just give you some basic AI written reason!!

Gets the job done. But I don't like how it only shows a little people close by and give you a bunch of other people that are far. I'm not trying to dive 6 hours max just to link 🫥

I just downloaded the app today and made me an account, I chatted with a few guys only to get suspended in the end. I still have no idea why I was suspended as I didn’t break any of the rules. This is why I don’t try to meet people on these apps.
  • Safety concerns for women on HUD

mainstream way to meet new people and explore potential relationships. HUD, recognized for its casual dating atmosphere, aims to offer a platform where individuals can connect without the pressure of long-term commitment. However, my recent experience with HUD raises significant concerns about the safety and fairness of the platform, especially for women. After joining HUD, I found myself in a troubling situation. A male user requested that I send him personal photos, explicitly asking for nudes. Choosing to prioritize my privacy and comfort, I refused his request. Subsequently, this refusal led to an unexpected and concerning outcome: my account was suspended. The suspension came after the user reported me, a move that I can only assume was retaliation for my refusal to comply with his inappropriate demands. This incident has compelled me to question the safety measures and user protection policies that HUD has in place. The fact that a user can be penalized for choosing not to send personal images upon request is alarming. It not only undermines the autonomy and safety of users but also perpetuates a culture where coercive behavior is indirectly endorsed through lack of adequate action against such reporters. The implications of my suspension go beyond just an individual inconvenience; they highlight a broader issue of women’s safety on dating platforms. When users are punished for setting boundaries and protecting their personal privacy, it sends a discouraging message about the value placed on user consent and safety. It’s critical for dating apps like HUD to reevaluate their response mechanisms to complaints and reports, ensuring they are designed to protect users’ rights and safety, rather than penalize them for asserting their boundaries. As digital platforms continue to evolve, the importance of implementing robust safety measures that safeguard all users, particularly women, from harassment and retaliatory actions cannot be overstressed. My experience serves as a stark reminder of the need for ongoing dialogue, policy review, and action to create a safer online dating environment for everyone.

No profiles around for miles, this app is barren. Only reason it gets two stars is because this wasn’t always the case.
