  • really? a paywall?

literally no point in using the app if there’s a paywall to see anything.
  • Junk

The app allows people to send mass emails, so you basically receive a deluge of messages that aren’t even remotely tied to what you’re looking for. This isn’t made clear at the onset and you can’t even read what someone sent without paying. That’s how they hook you into paying. You assume the message you got is relevant to you, so you pay to read it, only to learn it’s from someone in another city or who has criteria that excludes you. I have been a paying member for weeks and have yet to get a single message that’s relevant to me. Meanwhile, the listings that actually suited me don’t reply to messages - I’m guessing they set it up and then didn’t want to pay to see the message. Very poor experience. Note: I paid because I don’t mind paying for apps that deliver value. This one does not. If I’m paying $10/ week, I don’t want to get junk messages from people an hour away from the area I’m targeting or in different cities. If I’m paying a premium price, give me premium features - better filtering, notifications when a property is added in my target area, etc. This app isn’t delivering anything I can’t get free and it is taking way too much of my time to sort through all the irrelevant messages.
  • Poor design and user interface

Every step I took trying to make an account got my account removed. I got a response quickly each time of a team member reinstating my account. But I really don’t want to take an hour having my account automatically removed and wait to be reinstated each time I put in more information or take a step towards finding a roommate. The little amount I was actually able be on the app it was just a bad system for laying out what you were looking for. No matter what, If you try to list what you’re looking for you have to have a place tied to it. Listing a place available? Sure that makes sense. I just want to be able to find a roommate to look for a place WITH. Kinda hard to lock in a lease without enough people to GET the lease. Listing your own details are ridged and not very user friendly either.
  • Useless

I’ll give it some props first, the app is very easy to use and setup. However, there’s no point in doing so because you have to pay to see your messages which is the whole purpose of this app. I listed my apartment because I needed a roommate to replace mine and I’ve gotten some replies but can’t access any of them because the app tells me to pay a subscription fee to access said messages. Do not recommend.

My subscription will be expire on December 7. However, I have been receiving email everyday ask me to renew. All the 15 messages are asking me to renew. In the meantime I can not reply to any inquirying messages. This site is worthless.
  • Worse app ever

They charge $12 for seven days just to message someone. A lot of the “messages” you get are messages that a user sends to everyone I. The general area at the same time. Waste of money.
  • Do not get subscription

My experience has been a bad one. After canceling my subscription I still, 1 month later, keep being charged out of nowhere. I couldn’t even find a room because people here are not responsive. It is not worth your time. Use a different source. FB marketplace, or Facebook groups are free and much more accessible. I still need someone to fix my subscription status. I cancelled it and Im still being charged.
  • A dang shame

I THINK ITS COMPLETELY FOUL THAT YOU HAVE TO FORK OUT $11.99/WEEK JUST TO CHECK MESSAGES!!!!! And majority of to time it’s just bots!
  • The subscription is absolutely bonkers

12 dollars a week just to maybe find a place to live actually has me debating sleeping in my car.
  • Too many scammers/phishing attempts

    By adamhenley
As a professional company, you need to do diligence in removing and blocking fake accounts. I have literally just reported 25+ fake accounts that all have this template: “Hi, my name is _______. I am a __-year old professional. I am looking for a room to rent in __________. My budget is $___ and I would like to move immediately.” It’s obviously a phishing attempt. Your annoying warnings about not giving out personal info might help a bit when going into the messages, but for the one service you have to have a paid subscription for—messages to actually find a roommate—it’s really bogus when a very high % of “users” might have been setup by a web crawler / robot / AI tool. What a waste of time until you seriously overhaul your user validation mechanisms.
