  • Don’t scan the bar code on the enclosed card if you bought the LC-dolida headphones

I figured out that the app scans the bar code on the back of the box is these sleep headphones I bought on Amazon. It does not work with the enclosed card. I still wouldn’t recommend downloading the app.
  • App wouldn’t scan bar code

I downloaded the app to try to authenticate a bar code on a ominous business card that had been slipped into my supposedly never opened Dr Pen box. The app would not scar the bar code.

Instructions to download the app came with the product purchased on Amazon supposedly to “learn more” about the product and “view usage guidelines video”. I guess this is the easiest way to full customers with the fake app.

This is a barcode scanner. You scan the barcode on the Amazon box and it displays the name of the product and proclaims it authentic. Fooling the app is as simple as reproducing a bar code.
  • Works perfectly

I’m very confused at the negative reviews and wonder if they are scanning the wrong code. I scanned about a dozen different toys that I have and they all scanned fine. I didn’t have to retry a single one. On my toys, there’s a barcode and something that looks like a QR code. Scan the QR code. Not a single issue.
  • Doesn’t request camera permissions

The “Allow Camera Access” button takes me to the privacy settings, but the only options are: “Apple Intelligence & Siri”, “Search”, and “Cellular Data”. There is no option to allow camera access.
  • Can’t even scan the code
