I started with the Waking Up app about eight years ago and it has been an amazing journey. The real benefit for me came with the guided meditation coupled with the theory. Mediation on its own I do not think would have been as life changing. I just sat my first retreat a couple of months ago and had a tremendous shift in my perception. I think the app laid a great foundation of theory and practice that allowed me to release, open, and view life another way.

I wasn’t really into meditation. Then this came across social media so I figured to try it. Thank goodness. I love this guided meditation. It has helped me to gain clarity and calm in this wild life we live that most often falls victim to the firehose of thought that appear. THANK YOU!!!

    I guess if anybody is wondering as I was it’s $12.50 a month or $150 a year.
  • Too expensive

It promised for advanced practitioners in the ad but starts basic as any other app. Plus the price is way too high in this economy.
  • Apple Watch app requested.

The content in Waking Up is excellent, but the app could be much better integrated into the Apple ecosystem. An Apple Watch app would be incredibly useful — especially the ability to download and listen to meditations and other content directly from the Watch with AirPods, without needing an iPhone nearby. I’d also love to see better native AirPlay integration. The current custom audio player can be a little buggy with my HomePod setup, particularly when switching speakers or controlling playback. The content is already great. Better Apple Watch, AirPlay, and HomePod support would make the actual listening experience significantly better.
  • This can no longer be a voice that instills peace and awareness for me

Can’t support an app that benefits someone who preaches peace and wisdom while simultaneously platforming people who compromise that peace in the very way he says to be on guard for in this app.

I finally was able to properly understand the benefit of meditation beyond a mere calming and relaxing tool. It introduced a new way of going about my day and saving myself from being consumed by my thoughts and negative emotions, and being able to live a mindful life. The introductory course was a life-changing experience.
