    I have used this app for multiple international trips; it works SO WELL when you follow it. Little to no jet lag. Sometimes life gets in the way and following it becomes more difficult (if you have trouble sleeping on planes especially), and the results are mixed. So it very much is useful and appreciated; it does require adherence.

    I am a 61 year old male, and I have some sleep challenges in my normal every day non travel life. I took a big International trip recently and followed Time Shifter guidance, not perfectly but pretty closely. I experienced heavy jet lag both going and coming back from Europe. I had used it previously for a trip to Asia and it may have been somewhat beneficial, thus the 3 star rating.

    The help a lot. My general strategy has been to follow the suggestions from Timeshifter and to change my watch to the time in the city where I’m going as soon as I board the plane.

    Usually at least three of my vacation days are me walking around like a zombie. Not this time! Although I wasn’t able to follow it exactly, it was significant enough to create a difference. No jet lag upon arrival!
  • Avoid jet lag the way astronauts do

    As an astronaut I did a great deal of traveling internationally for speaking, training, etc. NASA had access to doctors and scientists who developed algorithms that gave us written schedules to follow before, during and after our trips to help us avoid jet lag. These are the same algorithms used by Timeshifter. As a retired astronaut I use this app religiously when I travel. It works!

    I had a terrible time with jet lag on my first overseas trip to Ireland, so I was worried about visiting my daughter in the Netherlands and being out of commission for days. But she recommended TimeShifter and it worked like a charm! My brain did not feel scrambled!

    This was a hard schedule to stick to for a few days prior to our trip to Europe, but wow did it pay off. One day feeling tired then off you go. Coming home harder because we were in an area where it didn’t get dark until 10:30 at night. I was not as good about following the schedule so did not do 100% of recommendations. Nevertheless, only doing about 80% it made a big difference when I got back. By the second day back, I played golf with no trouble but was tired at night. By third day, I am back to a normal schedule. With a 9 hour time difference that is really great.

    I wasn't sure what to think with this app, and the first free shift as a trial was helpful. I kept to it except for an hour in one place and an hour in another one. When we landed, I went to bed a little bit earlier than it told me to on the first day, but starting the next morning everything was right on track. I will happily use this app again, such a pleasant surprise to have it do what it says, and to enjoy the overseas travel without too much of a bother.
