    Terrible performance and painfully slow The app takes forever to load my camera feeds. It gets even worse when I switch to my other property—the app completely freezes, stops responding, and takes way too long. It’s an exhausting and frustrating experience.

    I’ve been using Eufy for around a year now and I am happy with their products. I think their engineering team is inventive etc. however the last 2 app updates have brought things to a screeching halt, on average it now takes 20 seconds for clips to load or even get to the cameras in the app. For reference I run a 10 gig fiber connection, I am using the latest app update, my phone is on the latest update, all Eufy gear and equipment shows “excellent” connection and I am using the iPhone 18 Pro Max, so I don’t believe it’s a “me” problem at this point. If the app team reads this review, would you please consider looking at what you did 2 or 3 updates ago and mirroring that. Thank you.

  • iPad view bug

    Purchased C31 camera to add to my outdoor 340 model. When I access the C31 and iPad is in landscape mode, the video picture is upside down. I have to rotate iPad 180 degrees and back in a quick manner and then video view locks and is normal like my other Eufy camera. Yes the view is not flipped 180 degrees in the video settings. This might be a deal breaker for me if Eufy doesn’t fix this

    My cameras worked perfectly until this ANKER garbage came. Now I only get “Connection Failed” and “No Signal” . My video surveillance system is just ruined…

  • Great Ecosystem, but Attention to Detail Is Lacking

    I’ve always been a fan of Anker products, which is one of the reasons I decided to invest in the eufy ecosystem. I really like the HomeBase, especially the local storage options and the ability to avoid relying entirely on cloud subscriptions. However, there are two things that really frustrate me. First, the lack of flexibility with Privacy Mode. I absolutely hate that Privacy Mode can only be enabled through Home mode. I have several group controls configured, and there should be an option to enable or disable Privacy Mode independently within each mode. For a security ecosystem built around customization and automation, this seems like a basic feature that should already exist. Second, the recent app icon change feels poorly implemented. I don’t mind companies updating their branding, but if you’re going to change something, do it right. Eufy is an app I use daily and has always had a permanent spot on my Home Screen. Unfortunately, the new icon doesn’t properly support iOS clear icons in Dark Mode. Instead, it becomes a bright white icon that stands out and ruins the consistency of my Home Screen. I’ve actually removed it from my Home Screen because of this. These might seem like small complaints, but attention to detail matters, especially with security applications that people interact with every day. It’s often the little things that separate a good app from a great one. I believe Anker and eufy are capable of delivering a much more polished experience. I genuinely like the ecosystem and want to see it improve, but better customization, consistency, and attention to the user experience would go a long way.

  • No easy way to temporarily mute notifications

    If you want to grill outside, work in the yard or if the lawn guy is cutting your grass, there is no way to temporarily mute notifications (mute for 30 mins or 1 hour, etc…) without going into each device and mute notifications/motion detection individually. They give you the option to change the mode so that notifications are turned off, but if you forget to turn the back on, too bad for you…

    Then when I log back in, it acts like I don’t have location services enabled and wants to know what county I’m in. Why? I’ll probably replace the camera and it’s app with a more reliable company.

    I have multiple cameras and the app does a mediocre job at best. I have the home base as well and added additional SSD storage. Clearing the storage constantly hangs and doesn’t clean the videos out. The AI facial recognition is constantly wrong so a complete waste of time to use. Better to not even get the home base
