    I love that there is an app for those that are faithful and pleasantly surprised at just how many people are on this platform but the distance filter mechanic is broken and that’s a ridiculous flaw that is being blatantly disregarded and can’t be tolerated

  • Want to Like This App, But You’re Making It Impossible

    I gave this app a second chance because you said you made improvements, but nothing has changed. The app tells you one person liked you, and the second you click it, you are hit with a paywall. You have to pay just to see who likes you whether you are using the app for friends or dating. Then you have to pay again just to send a note. It is unrealistic. The communities are also not filtered correctly. If a group says ladies only, it needs to be ladies only. The same goes for men’s groups. People should not be able to enter spaces they do not belong in. It defeats the purpose of having communities at all. I want to see real updates in real time. Even the ads you run on other platforms have people in the comments telling you the same issues, and they have been saying it for a long time. If you are going to promote improvements, then you need to show actual improvements inside the app, not just in marketing. Another thing: if twenty people like us, show ten for free. If we do not connect with those ten, then show the other ten. Give users a fair chance to actually use the app before asking for payment. I am not trying to be rude because I do like the concept of the app, but the way it is set up right now makes it hard to enjoy. I am giving this feedback because the potential is there. Now it is on you to make the changes users have been asking for.

    This app only shows me people 100+ miles away even when I set my preferences to 20 miles. I live near a major US city and it still shows me people from a different state. Don’t waste your time, go elsewhere cause the people that run this app don’t care if you actually find someone. They preach being Christian and finding your soul mate but they really just want you to keep swiping forever.

    Paid members here. Not only are there very few members less than 300 miles of me for some reason despite me living in a heavily populated area, I also got a community guideline violation for posting literal word for word scripture in a very supportive and absolutely non-different post to a comment. So, let me get this straight; Upward doesn’t want me to find people near me and they don’t want me to use scripture to support people in their situations? Understood. Snakes in the garden over here.

    App doesn’t respect your minimum distance, I have mine set to 30 miles. And yet it’s always in the realm of 170+ miles away. Keep it local it’s a dating app. Why would I want to match with someone two states over?

    Two big problems: 1. The app doesn’t respect your filtering options, notably the distance. I match with people up to 400 miles away despite my filter saying otherwise. 2. All dating apps have scammers, but sheesh this app makes all the others look scammer-free.

    I think the app itself is nice, but before setting up a profile it would have been helpful to know you have to pay to get any matches or have a conversation. Before wasting an hour setting up a profile this would have been helpful info

    This app will not let me look at people who are close to me. It will show me up to five people a day that are near me. Three out of the five are the same overweight, blue haired feminist that I’m trying to avoid. I know there are more people around because I get liked by people I haven’t seen before. Even when I engage the filter, it ignores me. I can’t filter by religion politics distance, anything. I wondered if the filter function was behind a paywall. Turns out it doesn’t function whether you pay for it or not.

  • Serious Location Issues, Lured into Subscribing with Fake Account Likes

    There are better dating apps out there. I wanted to love this one, but it has serious issues. The location problems are pretty significant and they offer no real solutions. Before I subscribed it said I had 20-30 likes in less than a week. But you can’t see who without paying. Once I paid, I never got more than 3 likes in a week. Most weeks none. When emailing support, the issues I named would not be addressed - instead they would address something else that I wasn’t even asking about.

  • They will ban you for no reason and not tell you why

    Title says it all. I did nothing to violate terms or guidelines, I hadn’t even interacted with anyone, nor was any pictures or content I uploaded in any way inappropriate. I’m a sincere Christian and to just get permanently banned for no reason is ridiculous.
