I was so fortunate that a lady from Colorado told us about this app our first day in Princeville. We saw and learned things that made our trip the best I have ever had. The combination of stories, trivia, reviews, tips and manner of presentation just doubled our enjoyment of the island. We drove the whole island as our new best friend was “virtually” in the back seat. The writer truly has a gift and has obviously put in a tremendous amount of work to make this guide happen. This was a trip to prepare myself spiritually and in mind for upcoming prostrate cancer treatments. Thank you sir for this gift! Much friendship and love from Michelle and Dan, October 22-29th. Mahalo!!

I can’t tell you how much my wife and I appreciated having this app guide us around the beautiful island of Kauai during our visit! It truly is like having a friend in the car with you who has all the intimate details, accurate driving instructions, history of the island, and other cultural information to make for a completely enjoyable touring experience! We’ve used other apps on other islands and this one is by far the best, hands down. Andrew and his staff have really done their research, and you can be confident in their recommendations of things to do and see along the way, as well as their advice about things to avoid or be careful about (hiway speed traps!). Along the way Andrew sprinkles in a fair amount of humor and personal stories that keep the narrative light, yet informative. We highly recommend this app - its more than worth its price, and will greatly enhance your enjoyment and appreciation for this amazing island! Ron Churchill

Having Andy “in the car” was absolutely essential and made our week in Kauai so much richer. He’s funny and personable and it literally felt like having a buddy in the car with us. Plus we saw amazing things we would’ve never known without it. Thanks Andy!! See you again in Hawaii’s 9th island!!

We can’t say enough good things about this GPS driving tour app. Best $20 we’ve ever spent on vacation! The Kauai Revealed book was in the condo we rented and it was indispensable. So glad we found the link to the app! It honestly changed our trip. We felt like Andy was in the back seat with us. So many of the scenic turn-offs we would never have found on our own. We loved the narration on the history and culture, and his personal stories. It made everything we saw so much more meaningful. Highly recommend!

I am so happy that I not only found his book but also the app. Not only does he give you all the tips for getting around the island the parking tips were super helpful. Stories about the history of Kauai was an unexpected bonus. If you’re going to Kauai do not hesitate to buy this app! You won’t be sorry.

If your going to Kauai this is a must have. For the first couple days we just drove around and stopped at what we could see that looked fun. We missed so much. Found this app and it tells you about all the must see spots as you drive. Just turn it on and thats it. We were even directed to a beach that was not listed on any maps which turned out to be our favorite beach to hang out at. Best $20 we spent and will save you time!!!!

Andrew Doughty’s “Kauai Revealed” app was sooo helpful on our trip to Kauai this week. Even though we also had his book to refer to, the driving app directed us to locations we most likely would never have found or thought to visit. His commentary was very enlightening and entertaining, with lots of valuable information on the history, culture, language, and respect for the customs of the Hawaiians. One comment, however, on some of the hiking trails, is possibly listing a recommended ability level or age range. My husband and I are 75 and 78 and do a lot of hiking on the mainland, but found a few of these hikes a little too dicey for us. For instance, one of the “moderate” trails near Princeville, in addition to being steep with exposed roots, rocks and somewhat slippery conditions, even using the ropes to hold onto to get down to the beach, we decided to turn back! Anyway, just a caution to seniors!
