So the editing process was very easy. It was very natural to understand the editing options and the recommendations for editing. An ideas was impressive. This is actually better than other editing apps and cheaper.

The support team here aren’t people it’s AI shlop support. I was subscribed for a while and paying and I didn’t mind then I was having a hard month and tried to cancel the subscription or pause it… NOTHING. No one to contact … I thought I had already done it … they kept charging me. I just got another bill today and I don’t know why. 🤷‍♀️😖😭 SHLOPPY

The only good thing - it can do automatic captions. That’s IT. It COULD NOT remove pauses/silence, it was just deleting part of the video. Glitchy AF. No auto AI on videos longer than 3 min. Max video - 10 min. 👎👎👎

  • DO NOT TEST THIS

Quite frankly, Captions App was a complete waste of time and money. The AI that promises to give you viral videos makes very bad choices, leading to a video that makes it look like it was made by a sloppy AI, which it was. The most frustrating thing about this is that their customer service is useless. Their AI does not listen to directions. It consistently hallucinates or makes mistakes, leading to the user having to manually edit, which its UI is terrible at. The time savings that it promises are frankly nonexistent. You will spend more time fixing its mistakes than you would just using Descript and doing everything manually to begin with. In addition, they refuse to give you a refund, which is very frustrating, considering the entire time you're attempting to work with the AI to solve its own mistakes, it is continually charging you more and more tokens. Quite frankly, this is a terrible product. Do not use it. Do NOT use it.

  • Not as advertised. It edits, but it sucks

I spent two hours trying to edit a video that would have taken 10 min on CapCut. I’m not overly fond of that tool either, but is so much faster and better than caption. If you ‘leave the session’ you no longer have access to the information that was used to create the video. It’s just not a good tool. At least for what I’m doing… short, one minute videos.

I paid my subscription for nothing. I have an iPhone 17 pro max, and none of my videos could generate with the ai software. Support never agreed refund me. What a scam and fraud!
