    This app feels like an embarrassingly aggressive cash grab. The free version is so limited that it barely feels like a real product, and the whole experience constantly pushes you toward paying just to get anything worthwhile done. Instead of offering a genuinely useful basic tier that builds trust, it makes free users feel shut out, frustrated, and like an afterthought. That kind of setup makes the app feel less like a helpful tool and more like a sales funnel dressed up as a service. The value gap between the free and paid experience is so wide that it’s hard to see the basic version as anything other than a bait-and-switch. It doesn’t even get basic facts right: when I asked about SCP‑3300, it gave me wrong information and admitted it doesn’t even know SCP‑3300 properly. ChatGPT is better because it feels actually usable, more balanced, and far less hostile to people who aren’t paying for every feature

    Earlier today, I could still bookmark a thread via the “…” at the right side bottom, parallel to the quoted sources at the bottom of a reply from the AI. This afternoon, it has been taken away. The function of bookmarking is vital for me. Please restore that function.

  • AI gets worse every day and scammy renewal process

    Every day the AI seems to get worse. Used to produce useful results and now constantly lies to me. And that’s not all! They don’t give you any renewal receipt or any warning that you are renewing. If you notice on your credit card statement, the price and try to get it refunded. They say if it’s been over 48 hours too bad. Even though they give you no notification that you renewed. Terrible business practice. Don’t trust them with your money.

    I went from the free version to Max in less than a month. Perplexity has helped me save over $100k and 2 years of research on a project I am currently building. Soon I will be building a swarm of Apps based on the tech that Perplexity helped make possible in a fraction of the time. It also can create stunning images, cartoons and art that I have used on social media. This is just the tip of the iceberg!!!! I cannot recommend this enough!!!!!
