I GIVE UP and am canceling my subscription. So sick and tired of you trying to force me to pay for a FAMILY subscription. Cannot get any help and can’t even read a damn article because it keeps saying I am using multiple devices to log in which is absolutely untrue. I’M DONE.

Every time I went to click an article or link the screen would update with an ad instead and it clicked something else. I got bored trying to get to the thing you were teasing me with reading

Crashing like crazy — fewer embedded videos that automatically loop would likely help and improve the entire experience. I can watch clips on other platforms—this resource needs to focus on quality news dissemination. The US govt is deeply failing its people and we need honest and clear reporting to hold accountable all law breaking officials. Best source out there but please keep it straightforward and easy to access.

I am a long-time NYT app user on an iPad. NYT content is great, no doubt about it. The app experience is, however, frustrating at best. Content takes a long time to load. NYT does not seem to be bothered that anyone who wants to read content offline (like on a NYC subway) is SOL unlike readers of its competitors the WSJ and FT. And the slow loading of ads causes a lot of bouncing around of content - better be fast to click on an article to read else it disappears off the screen due to an ad that finally decides to appear. I don’t experience any of this on other apps so chalking it up to NYT only.

App keeps flashing refreshing. None of a thousand fixes work. Modern iPad that runs everything else perfectly. Not worth the aggravation.

I get my news from multiple sources. I worked for six years at a newspaper and I saw firsthand how politics influences the stories. Since then I’ve never trusted news. But then how else would I know what’s going on? I was, and still am, skeptical of everything. The more I cross reference stories, time and time again I find the New York Times to be the one I trust most. So I subscribed. I hardly read the printed paper because I’m always on the go and receive my stories digitally. I remain a subscriber for two main reasons: I am glad to support this organization and also I enjoy the extras they include on Sundays. Thank you NYT.

Performance of the app has degraded severely over the past few months to the point that i can no longer use it on my iPhone 15 pro. Loading the front page takes several minutes when the webpage only takes a few seconds on the same network and device. App does poorly in low bandwidth when non-nyt pages load fine. Fancy graphics in stories are often completely broken on mobile. I can’t even swipe down on notification banners to get the full headline anymore. It stays blank for several minutes until i give up.

tried to read the AI photo story with the Fed EX package and the page just reloads and reloads. something is not right with the app on the last version of iPadOS 26.
