Want to waste your time? Then this is the app for you! 99.99% of profiles are either one of two things: 1) fake accounts trying to scam you out of money 2) people lying about their location because they're really in west Africa or the Philippines, not the USA The fake accounts and foreigners can call you all the names they wish, but should you reply they'll ban your account for life. It's sad because this app used to be great before it became part of the the Match.com monopoly.

Ever since being sold, the app has been on a race to the bottom. You used to be able to browse people by location. You used to be able to read people’s response to questions. The things that made the app great are being whittled away to just another swiping app . Now they should call the app either OkKenya, as it’s open to get likes from anywhere.. or OkBot, as you’ll get likes sometimes with intros from profiles with one picture and one sentence, only for that profile to disappear. I wouldn’t be surprised if bots were leaving reviews.

I like that you don't have to pay to text your matches, but having to pay for an app to find out who likes you or to send an email is ridiculous that's why I only gave three stars. I'm tired of all these stupid absolute want you to pay just to have a conversation. Cupid is OK and at least you could have some kind of interaction without paying, but when you do pay your legs go way down and the people that interact with you are from different countries which makes it irrelevant to meet up with somebody for a date

Very satisfied with this app

I would not recommend paying for OkCupid. Before subscribing, I was shown a very large number under “Interested in You,” which gave the impression that these were people who had actually liked my profile. After paying, I discovered that this section includes people who merely VIEWED my profile as well as people who actually liked me. Those are obviously not the same thing. Even worse, once you subscribe, you’re repeatedly shown profiles of people who simply viewed you and apparently chose not to like you. I can’t understand why anyone would want to be bombarded with that information, and I found the experience unpleasant rather than useful. Now I’m also seeing old likes being recycled. Profiles I already reviewed and swiped left on are appearing again as though they’re new, which makes the experience feel even more misleading. I contacted customer support more than a week ago requesting a refund and explaining these issues, and I still have not received a response. I paid because the numbers presented before subscribing made the service appear very different from what I actually received. I canceled my subscription and would never subscribe again or recommend this app.

I have personally had over 8 scammers removed. Every person that I interacted with ended up being a scammer. Granted, I didn’t pay anything to use the app, but I was contacted almost daily by okcupid to inform me someone I spoke with was a fraudulent account. They really need to have a more effective method of vetting people.

I’m beginning to resent notifications from social apps that present nothing new but presumably recur to keep me interacting with the app. Lately, rather than give me new information, I get notifications for information I have yet to act on, like a “new” intro. It’s not a new intro, though. It’s the same intro. And I get it every few hours. So I turned notifications off. Sad the app has become so pushy because it’s otherwise useful.

The app isn't working properly. My account was suspended for no reason, and I didn't receive a clear explanation or a solution. It's incredibly frustrating to lose access to an account like this, especially when I haven't broken any rules. I hope OkCupid reviews my case and allows me to recover my account. The experience so far has been very disappointing.
