Description

The world’s No. 1 baby app! Understand why your baby cries more at certain times, isn't himself or herself and... what you can do to help. During our research, which began in 1971 with Jane Goodall and the chimpanzees in Tanzania, we discovered that babies are more prone to cry and to be clingy or cranky from time to time. This behavior was shown to be related to a leap in the baby's mental development. More specifically, babies go through 10 mental leaps in the first 20 months of their life. A leap may be tough, but it's a positive thing: it gives your baby the opportunity to learn something new. Use The Wonder Weeks app to: - See when a leap starts and ends thanks to a personalized leap schedule - Be automatically notified when a leap is about to start - Learn to recognize the leaps based on the various signals your baby gives - Discover the new skills your baby develops with each leap - Stimulate your baby's new skills with 77 playtime games - Keep track of your baby's development in your personal diary - Link the app to your partner's app to keep track of your baby's developments together - Share your experiences and ask questions in the forum - Watch fun and interesting videos about parenting - Complete fun polls and find out what other parents think about certain topics Our mission is to help parents gain confidence in the face of the greatest leap in life: having a baby. We take a candid look at parenting, shed light on all sides and are there for all parents. We can all help each other and learn from each other. Millions of parents before you have already followed, supported and stimulated the 10 leaps in the mental development of their babies. It's not a coincidence that we have been one of the best-selling baby apps worldwide for many years! Disclaimer: This app has been developed with utmost care. It’s not really accurate for my baby and the time frame they set for a “leap” is so broad that it kind of mixes with many intricacies and details. I think this app should still be free so to gather more information from real experiences with babies. Because at the end of the day every baby is so unique and at least mine has never really fit the mold for any of the advice out there. It’s nice to track other things like skills but honestly not so helpful for day to day stuff you actually WONDER about!

Had higher expectations after the way it was described to me, don’t think it was worth the subscription cost. Personally will not be renewing after the 3 month period I purchased

The info in the app and book are insightful and huge help in figuring out how to help my son grow but having annoying time posting in the forum. Anytime I click the comment button my response bar disappears until I hit done. It’s very frustrating but other than that the app is incredible and make sure you read the book as well.

I’ve been using this app since my first child was born over five years ago! It has helped me so much, both in mentally preparing for and better understanding those fussy periods when they’re inconsolable, and in finding ways to stimulate their developing brains. Now, I’m using it with my third and final child, and it continues to help me strengthen my bond with them.

I love this app! It is very helpful with explaining certain behavior at different times, to help parents understand what babies and young ones are experiencing, and gives you great ideas of things to do with your little ones during each phase!

I discovered this app with my firstborn 13 years ago and was fascinated by how accurate it was. It did away with all the "wondering" I had about what my son was thinking as a baby, when he was happy or sad, etc. and told me more than I would ever know or could ever know otherwise. It was spot-on. I remembered it when I had another baby, who is just now 1 year old. Even her dad is amazed and his jaw drops every time I read to him about a current leap. It's one of the only apps that, hands down, is worth every penny of the small cost. It's literally like a psychic reading into your baby's everyday life, and that's priceless. I love that they've incorporated suggested playtime activities to do with your child to help them practice their new skills each leap--this insight also helps me know which toys she will be most satisfied and interested in if I need to get things done around the house. This app is GOLD!! Get it today!!

Looks like this app hasn’t been updated or maintained much for years. The app has no dark mode so your eyes get blasted by white and yellow when you’re in a dark room.

It would be great but every time I click something, it unclicks it for me. I want to follow along but the app doesn’t allow me to.
  • It's not that accurate

Babies develop at different rates so the estimated range on this app isn't accurate for a lot of babies, including my baby. The information isn't all that useful. I made the purchase on a whim and wish I could get a return but I can't.
