    I’ve been reading on this app for awhile. I usually just purchase ink because I don’t feel like spending all the time doing the free stuff and one time I did purchase something to get free ink and never got the ink. Don’t want to deal that hassle. Now, one great positive is that when something goes on sale, it’s all episodes. I’ve been on some reading apps where it’s only the first few chapters. A negative is they do tend to change the layout often and when you do get ink during a promotion (like reading so many episodes you get extra ink) it does expire pretty quick. I wish it would last like a couple weeks. Also, I would LOVE it they had a tab for all the ones I have purchased and owned. Sometimes waiting for updates I forget about it and then never go back to it. Or if I want to reread a series that I’ve finished but it’s been years. That would be great!

    Ever since a few days ago the app has refused to load anything. I can't login to my account after deleting and reinstalling and I had just purchesed a large amount of ink in the store. I have put up with tapas. Being not the best for years now due to me liking the platform and loving their selection of stories. This is truly the last straw. DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!

    I’ve been using this app for a while over two years now and sad to say most of the time now these days I really don’t wanna use it anymore because they’re getting greedy! They getting rid of a lot of features that people use because they want people to spend money on the app! watching ads to get ink! and watching ads to unlock chapters! ( somebody tried to tell me this the unlock episodes with ads was still a feature but I don’t see it anymore ) Those features I use almost daily are gone. it because they keep wanting you to spend money on the app! You used to be able to do events on the app to get ink so you could read your next chapter, but they made those events not free user-friendly! If you want to make this app for everyone, then stop taking away features from people use the app for free! And if you’re going to tell me? they’re not being greedy how come they raise the rates to purchasing chapters without telling the people who use the app? This is why people end up pirating comics because of companies like this! Greed!

  • Won’t load

    Lately the app has been refusing to load anything under my library. After the latest update it’s gotten worse; to the point that I uninstalled the app to install it again in the hopes that it would fix the problem. Now NOTHING will load! The stories are good, but I wish Tapas worked a lot like Webtoon where you can wait a week and read through the whole series versus being completely locked out from a series unless you use ink. I’m going to read through what little is left available on the read for free series and then I’ll be done. Very frustrating to have quality works being used to squeeze out as much money as possible- hey authors, please sell the full and completed works without Tapas!

    ok so whenever i try to read a comic that’s a wuf or like the 3hr ones that i’ve read an episode for already, it literally won’t let me scroll down to ANY of the episodes 😭 it’s so annoying because i cant read the comics??? i have a smaller phone and all but like the interface should work on all types of phones

    Since the removal of ads for ink, I can unlock maybe an episode a week if I’m lucky, (watching an ad to temporarily unlock an episode is beyond not worth it) and I can’t give ink to creators I like during events like inksgiving. Dedicated to making their app unusable and ignoring feedback.

    Tapas is amazing. I’ve used it for almost 4 years now and I’ve never had a better experience. The graphics are amazing, the stories are top tier. If anything, I’d wish they would bring back the stories of the month update. Tapas is great for getting into stories especially if you are just getting started. Tapas even has many great resources for starting your own storytelling. It’s a great way to meet a wide spread audience and have fun reading and participating as much as you’d like. Tapas is an amazing innovative app that I will always recommend to others. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK TAPAS TEAM!!

  • Great selection, terrible user experience

    The app has so many amazing stories that you can’t find on other apps, but using the app is so frustrating sometimes. There are small, not so bad bugs, like the app sometimes randomly liking comments for you or not indicating that you already read a chapter if you read the downloaded chapter offline. And then there are issues that are really obnoxious, like not being able to download multiple chapters easily. If you want to download more than one episode, you need to tap an obnoxiously small and easy to misclick button on every single episode. And if you go to another app, or even another page inside the app, the download stalls and you need to force restart the app and redownload everything (which again, is painful). Not to mention the painfully slow download speeds even though the speed of other apps is perfectly fine. And then there are “bugs” that they probably put in on purpose. Like, if you are scrolling to the next page and your swipe goes even 1cm to the left or right instead of perfectly vertical, you will unlock the previous or next chapter if you have the “one tap” on or a WUF. Since they make the chapters cheaper with one tap, I’m guessing this is on purpose. And the annoying part is that these “bugs” have been around for the entire couple years I’ve used the app and none of them have been fixed. On a different note, if you like binging stories then you basically need to spend money since the free chapters only come once a day or once every couple hours and they only last a couple days. The prices also got silently increased a few times since I’ve used it. If it weren’t for their selection of stories then I would never use this app.

  • Good stories but they are difficult to finish

    I love the stories on this app and it was once easy to use/access. Now, however, the new episodes are 400-450 ink and there is no longer a reliable source of ink, can’t watch adds for it or easily take surveys. I used the “wait until free” option but I’m soon caught up, I would also use the “watch add for an episode” function to finish a story. However, they updated and took away the ability to basically finish a story unless you buy a lot of ink, which not all of us can afford. I am seriously considering deleting this app since I don’t see the point in starting stories that I can no longer finish.
