  • Expensive, Terribly repetitive storylines, wish I had my money back

I purchased the yearly subscription for this app after seeing it on Amazon live tv. Mistake! 69 dollars a year or….19.99 a WEEK. Or you can watch for Free like 2 mins worth of each episode a day. I know crazy right. Ridiculous price. Content was sometimes cute and romantic, sometimes very corny / cheesy , sometimes kinda dirty. I had no idea what these vertical Tik tok , quickies were about at first, had I known I never would blown money on this app. I canceled the yearly subscription right away, now I am simply out good money for nothing. Target audience is young teen and twenty something women feeling unfulfilled.

  • Where is the weekly VIP

They tell you to play 1 dollar for the weekly vip but when you pay for it you still get told to pay for the episodes that are locked what is the problem with that

  • Plays by itself

This app just randomly plays by itself. Woke me up in the middle of the night. Not sure where the noise was coming from. I closed out all my apps that were actually open. Sound still coming from phone until I figured out it was this. I needed my rest. Apps shouldn’t randomly play by themselves

Honestly I love the movies but I wish we could watch more than one a day it’s a lil annoying

  • It’s good

I love the stories the the subscriptions are outrageous. Maybe a decent monthly subscription could do. I would like to see more representation of black stories in this app, even other poc stories.

  • Why the early access?

I love this app. it's so good. no ai. actual good plots. but why the early access? and why does it take so long for people without early access to actually be able to watch it? just shorten the time!?

  • It’s good

I like CandyJar more than most other vertical platforms. I prefer the style of filming; it feels closer to a real movie or show. Sure it’s a little pricey but I imagine there’s a lot more that goes into making these dramas than we think (maybe more like a high risk low reward system atm until it goes more mainstream). However, I’ve been trying to take advantage of the new student discount promo but even after I logged in with my student email, I can’t get an email with a link to unlock the deal to show up in my inbox. I’ve even tried verifying the email address and that won’t send either. I know the email is correct because I’ve been receiving promo emails.

  • Its ok but…

They deviate from the books enough to ruin the story. All their movies are geared towards teens and the ones not based off their books are all repeats of other movies and shows. Nearly word for word. Not really worth the money I paid. My biggest complaint? I’M NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF MY OWN INFORMATION!!!!!!! I would understand if I was taking pictures or videos of content, but my own profile page information like the fact I turned off auto pay today and the date my subscription ends??? Really???
