Description

High standards? Keep them that way. The League is a selective dating app offering its members a curated “Batch” of potentials each day, rather than an unlimited stream of profiles. Designed for motivated daters who would rather be single than settle, The League strongly believes that 3 quality matches are better than 100 bad ones. So say goodbye to endless swiping and keep those standards sky-high— because while your mother might call you picky, we call you self-aware. The League uses an application process to ensure a well-balanced, highly engaged community of people with real motivation to find a meaningful long-term relationship. You can use The League for free or upgrade to a subscription to unlock additional benefits. Subscribers see more profiles each day, and thus, enjoy 40% more matches on average. Subscription Details: Payment will be charged to Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. • Underwhelming, especially considering the price.

Outrageously expensive to get any meaningful functionality. Your daily feed will be full of people that don’t match your desired age parameters. And when you manually search the profiles that DO fit your parameters, your ability to see ALL of them - or interact with more than a few of them - is kneecapped by tiered functionality requiring subscription upgrades. Beyond that, the user base is quite small, and if you happen to live in a smaller town, you get forcibly lumped into a “home” metro city - even if there are other more preferable cities roughly the same distance away. Let us choose our own home metro area!
  • The worst

The absolute worst dating site. “Intelligent Dating”? Quite the opposite. Ignores your preferences to insist on showing people outside your distance setting, age range, and every other filter/preference. The “concierge” is clearly an AI bot. I thought Tinder was the worst, but they at least respect your preferences. There’s a new worst and it is THE LEAGUE.
  • High expectations

I had high expectations but it seems like if you have a linkedin profile you’ll get approved. They do seem to be fewer Gold future sales people on here so that’s good and I haven’t seen any bots yet so that’s also good. when I moved from a fairly expensive paid model to the free model. It put me in a little tiny box where I can’t see anybody that likes me. I’m not sure people can send me messages unless I like them first, and I have a limited ability to like anybody at all so it feels like I’m relying more on karma because at this point, I refuse to pay. The more they show me what I can’t have the less I want it.

free version is unusable, you can’t see who liked you unless you pay, cheapest option is $100 a month. Fine but then you only get 5 new people daily in your feed to view which some of them could be the same people in your likes so at this point you might only be seeing 1-2 new people a day. The price isn’t even the problem it’s the extreme limitation on how many profiles you see. You also can’t adjust age range which is ridiculous, I don’t want someone 15 yrs older than me on my feed. To pay this much and not be able to adjust preferences is insane and makes the app unusable since I never get relevant profiles.
  • Unpaid version

While there are some strong prospects on the app, the free version doesn’t offer the ability to adjust my age-range preferences. That said, I haven’t found the app particularly useful for me, since I’m not looking to date anyone younger than I am. Unfortunately, despite my settings, the app continues to show me people who are approximately 3–7 years younger, which is very frustrating.
  • New UI is like Hinge, hate it

So they recently updated the new user interface and what made the app unique and beneficial to use before, now has been watered down and made to look like hinge. I got off of Hinge for a reason and now it looks like it’s just another clone of Hinge but more expensive. At this point just go back to in real life dating.

Only 5 men a day and, with absolutely 0 exaggeration, the ugliest group of men I’ve ever seen on a dating app. So so ugly.
  • Need more filters!

My issue with this app boils down to exactly one issue: you don’t get to pick the age range you see. This makes this unusable in my opinion. Most of the daily batches I get have zero people in the range I’d like. And the range I want is not unreasonable! Why am I, a 25 yr old woman only getting 36 yr old men? It’s really not cool.

Very expensive, only a few potential matches per day, and tons of fake scam female profiles.
