  • Waste of time

No where did it say how much it cost. I downloaded the app, answered all the questions, all to get to the end where it asked for my credit card information. I haven’t used or even heard of the app. I’m not giving it my card information without even being able to see it. Yes, you can cancel the subscription within 7 days or get charged for an entire year. Just don’t waste our time. Tell us up front how much you’re charging.

Good all of you wanna spend money. Word of the day is not worth 9 bucks a month nor 60 bucks a year. I’ll just go to the library and buy one of the sticky note things for 5 bucks ☺️

Before the last large app update this was a five (5) without question. I was able to separate words to study & quiz myself. I am still trying to separate the words in the app that actually make my skin crawl due to the unacceptable voices that the app uses. I am going to find examples of the unprofessional "speakers" that I want to file away in poor (horrible) pronunciation.

I like the vocabulary lists but the art work to connect each word of the day is fantastic. I do wish there was mor of an interactive section to check my learning.

I just updated the app and now there’s cartoons everywhere and it’s horrendous. Can I get the simple, elegant, old version back?????
  • Easy to learn new words

This app is very appealing to young kids, adults and seniors so everyone can learn a new word each day and thanks to the customizable category you can learn from what sector you want to learn more about. However there is one small issue. Below the definition is a sentence in which the word of the day is supposed to be used in but lately the word itself is not in the sentence. So it’s tricky on how to use it appropriately if an example is not given. But overall still a 5 star app!
  • Used to love the app

I’ve never written a review before, but I’m a bit disappointed in an app which used to be perfect. On an older app update you could share the words of the day with people on a simple card which included the picture, word of the day, phonetic translation, and an example sentence. It was perfect to share a fun experience with friends, but now if I want to share a word, my friends can only see a jumbled mess of the picture, word, and a bit of the definition. Why change the share feature? I get you need traffic through the app, but removing features is not the way to gather a wider audience. If anything, please add the phonetic translation back, so that anyone with difficulties hearing may know how to pronounce a word.

Bad UI, bad features. I would give a 0 star if I could. Bring back the old app. It was straight forward and no frill. Deleting this app.
