  • Really really helpful musical app

JamZone is really great for learning individual parts, rehearsing as a band, and playing live. It’s dead simple to use, and nearly all the songs our band could possibly play are available. The one major DOWNSIDE is that the number of count in clicks is fixed: 4 for songs less than 120 bpm, 8 for songs with more than 120 bpm. Unfortunately, 4 intro clicks is not enough in a live setting. The user interface really should offer the ability to set the number of intro clicks for each song - anywhere from 4-16. Or the default intro clicks should be able to be set globally in Settings. If JamZone implements this, I will change my rating from 4-stars to 5-stars.

I ‘m a new user. I’ve barely an intermediate guitar player-just singing and playing my instrument for personal enjoyment. Love my new band in an app, backup band, but I am troubled by the chords. I have been playing some songs 50 years and the chords are not matching my sheet music, song books, and some experience. It is troublesome. Yes, I can play a different chord, it sounds slightly different, but I can’t intuitively plan the song because it surprises me in different places with the cord changes. If I play a new song it is not particularly troublesome. But 60 years of playing with chord change ups, while the screen is racing by is a lot, disruptive, irritating, and causes me to wonder if a similar product may have similar problems. Support response has been quick as I have encountered these issues. I asked, if you could replace/change chords in a displayed songs. Answer was,no. I just have to either live with 60 years of a chord pattern or this app changed chord progression.

This is the best tool I’ve ever found to help teach and play blues harmonica. It allows people to understand things like 12 bar blues and different meters like 44 time and 34 time and 68 and 12 H and so on.

1 star because the app will spam you with pop-ups asking for a review.

I've played in garage bands for over 40 years, but usually have to play what the band leader wants to play. And while I've enjoyed every minute of it, I always thought it would be great to have my own band and play what I wanted. Now I have it. And it helps me become a better player. Five stars all around! Thanks Jamzone.

This is Surely a 5 star Tool, However, It is Highly lacking in the Gospel department. I get that votes make a difference but I also think that lacking gospel is a deterrent for some.

I’ve been subscribed for a while now. I play out often. I’ve learned quite a few licks from it.
