The spike in spoofing calls I got was out of control and I bit the bullet and I got Robokiller. Most of the calls get siphoned the right way, brings my anxiety down a whole ton.

One star for being annoying. I got this app to get less random annoying stuff on my phone.
  • Only blocks 20% of spam calls

Been using for a month (paid), but it barely blocks any spam calls. Vast majority it does block are number ranges I entered. I want to block an entire area code because most of my spam calls are from that area code but the app doesn’t allow you to block an area code, only ###-## and then limited to about 20 of those ranges. I’m going to go back to ActiveArmor which is free and does a much better job that RoboKiller.

I’ve been a robokiller user for years but recently noticed that there were connection issues with calls of callers were not in my contact. I deactivated the app and the issue went away. I tried to contact support since I am a paid subscriber and cannot get any response. I’m now working with apple to get a refund.

I will come back and update this after some time goes on, but so far I feel I wasted $130 on the premium subscription and wish that I would have done a trail period first. So far, I am getting MORE calls than I did before I had this app. Interesting phenomenon. I get alerts that don’t make any sense and their help articles are of no use. For instance, there was a call from an unknown number. I ignored it. They left a voicemail and Robokiller sent me an alert of such. It was not in my phone’s voicemail, so I navigated to the app to listen just in case it was someone from work. Nope, can’t find it. No idea where it went or if they even left a voicemail. I also cannot find which phone numbers were recently blocked to ensure someone from work isn’t trying to get ahold of me. My confidence in this app is shaken, at best, that this app is doing what is advertised and not blocking calls I should be getting. I will give a week. If confidence isn’t increased, I am deleting and going with another vendor. Also, the app will not allow me to setup call screening. It just keeps giving me an error message. May try to get support, but other reviews seem to really hit hard about how bad support is for this app. Wish me luck.
  • SCAM

Beware of SCAM! They double charged $9.99. Also they advertise as $9.99 per year but they charge $9.99 per WEEK. This developer needs to be removed from the store and needs a class suit.

  • $$Gouging loyal customers

I’ve been loyal customer for many years and referred my friends to this company. Last year I paid $25/ yr for this app, but now going up $75/ yr. Customer support is unwilling to have a true discussion and responds with canned misdirection.
  • How greed ruins a product

First off, don't be deceived by the high ratings. Apple doesn't weight newer ratings anymore than ancient ones. If you look at all the reviews and sort by "most recent" you will see a pretty sad story. I bought Robokiller when it first came out because it seemed so promising. Back then I think it was 12 or $13 a year, which I thought was expensive but worth it to stop the spammers. There was also a very motivated development and support team. Fast-forward to 2025 and you essentially have a dead product. They raised the prices by $50 a year. For that, I expect a product that will work perfectly as well as great support. The core functionality of the product still works in that it will intercept calls that are not in your contact list and prompt the caller to list their purpose. Then you receive a call with that information. But, as a long time user , I keep finding bugs that have not been fixed. Notifications that do not work correctly. Text blocking that does not work correctly, calls that will not delete from the call log and so on. When you contact support, even if you list everything you've already done, you will receive a boiler plate email telling you to do the same exact thing. It's interesting if you look at the "easy tiger" app list, which is a company that now owns Robokiller. It looks like their strategy is to purchase apps that were financially struggling, strip down the R&D and support, then hope nobody will notice. I recognized a few other apps that I've used in the past that also went stale. My point is they got greedy thinking they have a "must have " product, but they don't. I can't recommend that anyone spend this kind of money when there are perfectly good alternatives out there for far less or even free. It's a free market and they can do what they want, but I won't be renewing.

Spent several hours trying to get the features working. Spam calls still got through and could not activate the bots/call forwarding.
