Someone keeps posting random zoo animal sighting and they don’t take the post down. It’s getting ridiculous and annoying.
  • I’d give 0 stars if it were an option

Tried to unsubscribe after the free trial and contacted customer support 3 times in the effort. Everything was useless. I ended up just canceling my credit card because come hell or high water they were going to charge me. Wish I never downloaded this app in the first place.
  • Impossible to cancel

The cancel button is literally unable to be pushed in the app, and even after multiple tickets opened they still charged me. Multiple people on Reddit are reporting the same issue. I will be disputing the charge with my bank using my multiple requests to cancel as evidence.
  • Can not upload video after filming

Not everyone can drive and set up Citizen for broadcast at the same time. I am sad that I absolutely must give Citizen a poor rating for inability to upload video once stopped and can safely set up a broadcast of what is pretty close to LIVE filming.
  • Never ever buy its subscription

If you buy your subscription via the website and you haven’t signed in specifically on the app then you can never cancel as the cancel button is hidden behind their tab bar.

  • Will not allow you to cancel subscription

(Edited to add: I contacted the Better Business Bureau, filed a complaint, and I encourage everyone else having this issue to do the same. This is unacceptable.) The concept is cool, and overall it’s a cool app. I can’t justify $20/month for it and to top it off, if you signed up with your Apple ID, it’s impossible to cancel your subscription. It directed me to their website with “Stripe” to sign up. So, I have to use the app to manage my subscription, not my Apple settings. The “cancel subscription” button is hidden behind the navigation window and will not allow you to select it. Since I used my Apple ID and not my email, I don’t even know the sign up email to try to use their website. It’s not located on the app anywhere, not even under my account settings. Customer service is NO help. It’s just an AI bot or automated messaging system that sends you the same steps they have on their website. No actual help. This may be an app design flaw but it left a negative impression for me. Like I said, the app and concept are really cool but there’s some major design flaws that are really inconvenient for users. I will be upset if this doesn’t get resolved before the next billing cycle. Do better, Citizen. Users should not have this much difficulty getting out of a subscription.

Used to be able to listen to the radio on every single one but now you have to go premium 🤦🏽‍♂️
  • By far the worst customer service

Trying to cancel my 7 day trial subscription, no option for it on the app, no communication from customer service, completely unresponsive. The app is terrible and the company is in my experience looking like a scam.
