    I'm very disappointed with Roomster's. They say you can have the service for free, but that just means you can reach out to People. If you want to see the responses you have to pay so it's not worth doing anything for free. Just know they're going into it. Be ready to pay if that's what you want.

    I could send 100 messages and get 1 reply as a landlord. No one ever replies. I’m starting to think this app is creating fake profiles to appear busier.

    At first glance, it appears that there are numerous listings that match your criteria in the city we’re finding places is exceedingly difficult. After messaging several postings, I started receiving emails that I had new messages. When I go to click on messages, the pay wall starts. $15 for seven days $30 for 30 days or $50 for 60 days. Then looking through my emails, I realized that none of the places I had reached out to you or messaging me back.. So you’re telling me that there’s people trying to rent a room, searching through these apps to find a potential roommate and ignoring all their messages, paying a ridiculous amount of money to message us to see if we want to rent a room from them? No, I think not. It is a scam. They’re trying to get you to pay to see the messages and the messages will lead you nowhere. Do not sign up.

    Putting a paywall just to VIEW your messages is asinine. Useless app. And the developers responses are extremely unprofessional. I understand paying to boost your post, but not to simply see messages. Very greedy.

    Do not pay for this app it’s a total waste of money. They have it set up so any random person that post that they’re looking for a room they send it into your messages to make it seem as if you have a direct You don’t know if someone is interested in your listing because they send any and everything to you to make it seem as if the app is popping but it’s really a waste of funds. A money grab a scam. Trust me. it’s just silly try one of the other apps like Roomies or Zillow. You can’t go wrong with Zillow. It’s free too.

    I downloaded the app because I’m looking for roommates in my area. I decided to try this as the first app that showed up when I searched for “roommate matcher” in the Apple App Store. But this is a huge flop. To even have the ability to send or get messages in this app, you need to pay, but on top of that, you aren’t even able to add your phone number or any contact info in your description! It will just get rid of it! To be able to actually match with people or rooms, you’d need to be able to contact them or have a match feature, right? Instead, this is just a list of people that I can’t even get ahold of or do anything with…

    I have been sent 41 messages and only three of them aren’t scamming or really sketchy. Also uses a pay wall to view messages and I paid as I was getting a lot of messages and they were messages from the app or from scams.

    They charge subscription just to send and receive messages. You’ll find a listing, message them, then when “they” message back, it’ll prompt you to pay just to be able to read the message. Many listings are fake profiles used just for this purpose. Do your research and you’ll find this is a common experience. You’re welcome!

    Thieves, that’s what this app is. Make sure to stop them from charging you. They make it look like a bunch of people are messaging you about rentals or rooms available, but it’s mostly bots and fake notifications. After you cancel you via their app they will continue to charge you. Very misleading. Make sure to cancel via the Apple store.
