  • useless now that they’ve paywalled what was once free

    they took away everything that made the app usable and useful (community notes, deeper insights, the old ui etc) and have paywalled everything that used to be free. complete waste of time and money and whoever the speaker is for the insights uses a disturbing amount of “so” “and”s when she speaks.

    I’m deleting this app. They would y’all take away the community experience. People would voice their life issues or life experiences! I no longer like the pattern it’s boring and you can’t talk about life perspectives anymore. Bring back the community tag where we can share experiences!

    This app has truly read me to filth , I find it crazy when it knows what I’m going through. I don’t check the app daily but when something big happens in my life I check to see if the app aligns with what is happening and ima be honest it’s like my life is being written out. It’s insane but also makes me feel like I am going on the right path and also in a sense helps me see what is coming up later on in the future.

    I loved this app for many years and it was one of my absolute favorite astrology apps. But with recent updates it’s become completely unusable and I never open the app at all anymore. It used to be completely free with great information and unique features but now literally everything is behind a paywall except for little blips of audio that are completely pointless. I’m at the point where I’m just going to delete this app now since I refuse to pay for a subscription when the same features that I loved about this app and that used to be free are now behind a paywall.

    I love love LOVE this app but now for some reason after updating account info via email with your support team I’m still unable to access anything in pattern and I am heartbroken about it because it offers so much. Definitely will get back the higher rating once pattern customer support can help again fix this issue

    This app was amazing. When I first got it I LOVED it. The app was easy to use, and it gave me incredible insights into what is happening in my life. Recently, however, it has become just like every other astrology app and prioritizes profits over people. All of the regularly used aspects of the app they are now charging for and they added a lot of stuff that is not needed, so they can act like it’s worth the 90$ annually.

    This summer they did a huge overhaul and I just don’t like it as much anymore. Generally the content feels much less personalized. It teaches you a lot about astrology but I feel like everyday I’m wading through so many cards of repetitive or random information (here is a lot of info about a Pluto complex, check and see if YOU have one of these) to get to my daily info. This was my favorite astrology app but Its made me move on to other apps.

    I have used this app for years and for years I would say it is hands down the best astrology app, with no equivocation. And the information that you get is still great, HOWEVER, there are a few issues all related to the latest update that led to my 1-star review (previously it would have been 5 stars). 1. Community Notes/Comments on Transits and Patterns: The app used to allow people to post experiences and thoughts about the various transits and patterns. This was unbelievably helpful to be able to get perspectives from others and feel a sense of connection with people who share certain placements or transits. Inexplicably, they completely removed this in the latest update. 2. Latest Update UI and General Functionality: the new layout for the latest update is difficult to navigate. They switched to this endless scroll type vibe that all the corporate types think is a good idea. It absolutely was not. The old UI (like almost all reviewers state) was far superior. In addition, even when you get push notifications about a pattern reminder or a transit, when you click the notification you don’t even go to that transit or pattern, it just opens the app. This is amateurish. I don’t know what happened, but this app had an amazing layout, the. They decided to take something that worked great and make it work poorly. I don’t know why. 3. Paywalls: More and more information is put behind a paywall. And honestly if they fixed the UI and the community notes issues above, I wouldn’t really mind. But it is insult to injury to have the app lose significant functionality and value, be more difficult to navigate and then to have to pay to get things that were free before. Not sure what led to these decisions but it is a travesty. I barely use the app now and unless they fix these issues, I would not even consider paying for a subscription at any price point.
