  • Pop-up ads are ruining the app

    The banner ads are fine. But full-screen pop-up ads mean I will never recommend this app to anyone else ever again. People ask what I’m using to manage my health and I tell them about the intrusive and disruptive ads first before anything else, warning them off to any other app. Ever since updating the app, the ads have been atrocious and it works a lot less smoother than it used to. It lags when deleting foods from my journal, sometimes to the point of having to restart the app. Given what a wonderful, smooth, error-free experience the app USED to be, I have to wonder at what happened.

    It is difficult to navigate, any exercise or activity you do adds more calories to your daily budget, you can’t personalize or adjust anything, I bought it from a recommendation from a Dr I like but it’s just not as user friendly as some of the other options out there.

    I use the free version of this app and have for years. It has a fantastic interface and I don’t think I’ve had to add in more than 2-3 custom recipes in years. The ease of use removes any barriers for tracking your health!

    Great app has worked good for me. Been using it for about two months love it so far you can find pretty much any food or create your own. It’s pretty cool. The only thing that I don’t really like is you can’t do like a special setting for calorie deficit or maybe I just haven’t found it yet but you have to lower your target weight to go on a deficit but besides that the app is very good

    When searching for a food, it should show calories instead of the database it’s coming from. It’s a pain to have to tap on the item looking for the one that most closely matches the calorie count of the food. Seems like a simple fix and would make the app so much better

    Food database is weak, photo feature only works sometimes and no easy way to quick add entries like in MFP when I have macros pulled from ChatGPT (much better at guessing from photos). Why is this still so hard in 2025?
