  • No routes found

This used to be a good app. However, early this year the app stopped providing RV safe driving directions. No matter what I do, the app always says “no routes found”, even when simply getting directions for something 2 blocks away. It stopped working at the worst possible time too, just days after we left for this year’s cross-country road trip. I had to resort to using Google Maps and other apps to determine what was safe for our RV. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I’ve checked for updates to the app for iOS (but there aren’t any). So, I’m leaving this review for the app’s developers to look into and for other users of the app to be aware of before relying on this app.

App functions poorly. Very difficult to cancel and get your money back.
  • Not able to cancel free trial

The Togo RV app is a joke. The app doesn’t show up under subscriptions so you are not able to cancel it. I contacted Apple and was told the app shows as free so they can’t refund or dispute the fee. I called and emailed them several times but did not hear from anyone until the 59.99 was taken from my account. They would not refund the charge.
  • TRIED TWICE - FAILED TWICE

So I purchased this app thinking it was a great idea for RV traveling, WOW WAS I WRONG. I used it for the very first time and I followed the directions for the address I imputed to the camp ground. Their GPS took me down a small private dead end road and said I reached my destination, which I had not. Thank God I was able to turn my 31 foot RV around and get back on the road and use my regular GPS! The second time I attempted to use their GPS to take me to a camp ground, it failed to even recognize the address to the camp ground. It offered an out of state address which obviously is out right stupit, but it did not give me any recognizable address for my destination. SIMPLY PUT, I USED IT TWICE AND IT FAILED ME TWICE - THIS APP SCREWED ME OUTTA $50, DON’T GET SCAMMED FROM THIS APP!!!!!
  • First Impression

I Just downloaded this app and after one trip, Im done with it. In life, first impression could last for a long time. In my very first trip using this app the GPS had me go by an exit off a highway to go almost 5 miles further down only to take the next exit and come back around and take the ramp I passed by from the the other side of the highway. Adding almost 15 minutes to my trip. Are you kidding me? Like if that wasn’t stupid enough, arriving at the destination, the GPS had me making a left turn to pull into a parking lot whole the apparent location (according to the GPS), was on my right side. I had to go all the way around the parking lot only to find out the RV Park wasn’t there. I look at GPS and it was on other side of the street. But wait, I entered the location of the destination only to find a low clearance walk building in front of me. It turns out that the RV park was actually straight ahead across the street about another 100 yards. Wether the wrong direction was your fault or a satellite issue, It put my family in danger backing out of the wrong destination spot. Canceling my subscription during trial period and first trip.
  • Cookies…why?

Since when does an app not allow a user to login and demands that the user must change the setting on my phone to allow invasive data collecting cookies in order for it to work.
  • I want to love it…

So, this app screams potential. I used this app to travel to a local campground about 45 minutes away. The app recognized a turn that would be challenging for an rv and added steps to turn me around and approach from a more desirable angle. Unfortunately, the roads it wanted me to use didn’t exist anymore. The maps are so far out of date. By the time I gave up it had taken me down two permanent dead ends. It doesn’t support CarPlay. This is 2023. Folks pulling trailers have big screens and not a lot of convenient mount space for their phone to be visible. It doesn’t allow for multiple stops. This isn’t huge when the trip is planned. But planning, I go back to my normal gps. Now for the good. The membership spans several apps. I find that to be very convenient and a compelling selling point. But this GPS app is just not that good.
  • Missing CarPlay support

Bought the membership for RV routing and made the mistake in assuming a driving navigation app would support CarPlay. Really disappointed to find that it does not. I now see developer responses saying it’s been on the radar for over a year, so I wouldn’t hold your breath about it actually coming. I see that you responded that CarPlay is on your radar. As I mentioned in my review you have been responding to comments about CarPlay support being missing from the app saying it’s on your radar for years, so that is pretty meaningless right now. Sounds like your are literally saying your are aware of CarPlay and not that you are or plan to actually do snitching about supporting it. I will not be renewing my account if it’s not supported when I come up for renewal.
  • Ok, but missing some key features!

Missing CarPlay interface! That in itself would make it better then “OK”. A few of the other things I feel are missing are the ability for this app and road trippers, which are the same subscription for me, to to talk to each other to just load my planned trip. Lacking that, the ability to program multiple stops on your days trip. Actual routing I do find better then the next RV safe GPS app. Also better lane guidance and graphics would be nice.

I can find no place in the app description that explains the subscription price. I downloaded the app, and a week later got a notice that the one week trial was over and I got charged $30. I don’t know if that charge is for a month, a year, or what. This should be made obvious when someone loads the app.
