    Got multiple of these cameras over a year ago and all was perfect. Now, every time I get a notification and open the app, spam adds come up. With this being a high risk of getting something, I will have no choice but to delete the app and destroy the cameras.

    I have been using VicoHome cameras on my property for the past four years and they are excellent. I all five cameras are hooked up to solar and have not had any problems at all. Excellent instructions and it takes about two minutes to install the camera to your phone. I am currently getting ready to purchase two more. VicoHome has a great support team and excellent customer service. Anyone who is looking to spend hundreds of dollars on a camera security system,I would recommend the much more affordable system through VicoHome.

  • Stopped recording events

    I had this camera for several years and it always recorded events. And I would have alot of notifications Then suddenly it stopped recording events even though the settings is on and now it says free until Sept 2026, add also popup and does not record events and my settings are in to record. Also I checked for update incase it was that and it’s not.

    I bought many cameras from this company or one of its sister companies specifically because it did NOT REQUIRE A SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE, which is how it advertised itself, and it worked well for a year or two. I even subscribed for a little while to their OPTIONAL “premium” monitoring service. But the company has recently decided to completely screw over and even endanger their customers by adding excessive ads to the app, including a FORCED AD WHEN TRYING TO VIEW THE LIVE CAMERA OR FOOTAGE FROM THE CAMERA! This is extremely dangerous for customers like me who utilized these for their advertised security purpose, and the inability to access my camera footage after strange activity was detected outside my child’s window could have ended in tragedy! These cameras have also been used for other equally critical purposes and the AD-gating to view footage is absolutely unacceptable. This app should be removed from the marketplace, I am speaking to an appropriate professional to see if anything can be done to hold the company accountable for this. STAY AWAY! Also, they recently added an option for a “lifetime” “single-payment” premium subscription, which is usually a sign of a last minute cash-grab before closing down a company. And they had the audacity to push a notification to my phone requesting I allow them to collect data to use more targeted advertising on me! I am livid, NOT ONLY IS THE APP UNUSABLE, NO SO ARE THE CAMERA I SOENT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS BUYING AND INSTALLING!

    Used to love this app. Then the ads appeared, everywhere. What is the point of a security camera if you can’t actually see something that’s happening when it happens, because of a giant video ad? We will now be looking for different cameras and a different app. Useless.

  • Vico Home Bird Box

    The Bird Box I purchased was packed with the wrong camera. It came with a security camera that was not compatible with the Vico Nature app. After numerous try to connect the security camera to the Vico Nature app with the help from the support team, I was advised to connect the cameras to the VicoHome app. The camera did not properly identify birds. My several requests for them to send me the correct camera fell on deaf ears.

    I cannot stand the fact that there’s advertisements when you click on the app. I’m trying to catch nature the second I see it because you only get to record 20 second clips and half the time it’s delayed up to 4 seconds before the sound starts. Idk what happened to this company but I own 6 camera because I was happy and I will not be buying 4 more like I planned.

    Once it was a free app with no ads and now every time I open the app there’s an ad before I can even look at my cameras.

    So now before you go to watch any live footage, you get an ad. That’s dangerous. If it isn’t that, you’ll get a giant ad on the home screen telling you to subscribe. I get this company needs to make money but there has to be a better way to incorporate ads without preventing someone to use the camera that they literally already paid for. If anything, me subscribing to their service feels off putting and very unlikely with how they are conducting the ad situation.
