Substack

Well put! Sounds wonderful!

With the selection bar at the top, this has become a great app. I use it daily.

Thanks for continuing to let the community know what’s happening on a hyper local level.

Pretty great app so far only a week into using it. A little clunky at first figuring out where everything is and how it works.

I am so grateful for the Substack of Lyla Turner. I always knew she was one in 1 million, an avatar of all that humanity could ever be; but, getting to read her writing in the Substack is allowing me to see her even more clearly and realize what a true treasure of an author she is. She speaks to my soul and for it.

when setting app up to use: they required FULL ACESS to my contacts. there was no choice. never going to happen. deleted.

DATED: Fri, 9 Oct 2026 DEVICE: iPhone 18 Pro. SOFTWARE: iOS 27.0.1 COMMENTS: See previous comments—they still hold. However, as I’ve learned the way to post replies with photos, I hardly any notice of the glitch / anomaly I previously described. My comment was really for YOU. It is confusing for the uninitiated. —————— DATED: Mon, 7 Sep 2026: DEVICE: Same as previous. SOFTWARE: iOS 26.6.1 COMMENTS: Same as previous: “I think a lot of it is great. One glitch I’ve noticed is that if you reply to a post DIRECTLY FROM THE THUMBNAIL, you can add photos or a video, BUT if you open the post and THEN try to reply, you CAN’T add photos or a video. This is an obvious glitch that must be corrected. Other than that, I love it so far.” —————— Review dated Sat, 2 May 2026: Device: Same as previous. Software: iOS 26.4.2 Comments: EXACTLY THE SAME AS BELOW, the glitch between how you CAN attach photos or video to replies, vs. how you CAN’T is pathetic & ridiculous! —— Review dated 17 April 2026. Making them all bobble heads was exactly what they are; but they should have been bobbling “yes” to Trump.

I like Substack. I enjoy the fresh opportunity that it is to connect with people a lot easier than it is to connect with people on the other Big channels. It’s still in its early day so it’s giving you that opportunity to grow and do well. And hopefully it keeps its“purity of system“ I hope that it’s streaming platform gets better. It’s still hard to teach on the live platform same way you can teach on it from zoom or streamyard. It’s still more designed for conversations and Talking Heads. It doesn’t integrate easy with Zoom or streamyard. Once they fix that, it will be an epic platform. Until then, it makes people talk, which isn’t bad, it just puts us into the false belief that everybody wants to hear what we have to say, which isn’t true. On Substack people want to hear a well crafted thought that makes a difference in our lives, not just any thought.

Matt is an amazing reporter and look forward to his daily posts. Jerseyland is a refreshing important additional to the NJ media landscape.
