I downloaded Plant Parent as a 7 DAY FREE TRIAL. My card was charged within hours for the full $29.99 for a year’s subscription. I wrote to the company, twice, and received no response. Apple has refused my refund request … TWICE. This is insane. I am NOT letting this go because it is fundamentally wrong! I’ve been an Apple fan, use of all products (except the VR) and a stockholder for many years. I’ve purchased my last Apple app. As to this app, it’s a scam.

I really didn’t want to loose my lily. My mom gave it to me years ago and I still have it. Thank you plant parent for helping me get that lily healthy and happy. Now all my plants are living their best life. I appreciate all you knowledgeable advice 💜

After the key board comes up the Send Button disappears and you can’t send
  • Much of the advise is generic and not plant specific

It’s a great app for a newbie plant parent but the information is very generic and not specific to your particular plant. There is very little reporting specific reminders. The app will give you some guidance on repotting, but once repotted the reminded don’t adjust to the specific needs of repotting and the care schedules remain unchanged though they actually need adjusting, particularly as it pertains to fertilizer schedules and often water schedules

This app identifies sick plants as healthy and some plants like succulents and Cala lilies as invasive weeds. Do not waste your time

This plant was in the house for the winter and cared for. As I brought it out into another room, getting it ready for putting it in the sunshine, it began to lose its leaves. They are turning brown and dying and falling off. Don’t know what is wrong with it? I can’t find any past.

In the App Store, it calls this a free download, but after you download, it tells you you have a 7 day free trial and then it’s $7.99 a month. I wouldn’t use this app enough to justify that cost. Didn’t appreciate that I only learned the terms after downloading an app labeled free on the store.
