I love how the app guided me through everything step-by-step to get started very easily!

It felt good, comfortable and relaxing. I started with a sleep session @ level 1 increased it to level 2. I suffer from insomnia, so my hopeful this helps me sleep tonight👍💤
  • Device is great. App is essentially broken

The Pulsetto device works very well. The only thing that works about the app is the part that controls the device. Luckily that part is free. But after a month of using the premium features, I can tell you that premium is not worth it—if I weren’t on the free trial, I’d be pretty angry about having to pay for an broken app. They tell you premium is required to sync with Wearables and the Health app, but you can skip paying for it because the sync is broken anyway. When it does work, the data it imports doesn’t match up to what you see in your wearable app so the “insights” are meaningless. And now the outbound sync TO Health and my Whoop app just randomly stopped working. Tech support is all nice, sincere people, but they DON’T. EVER. FIX. ANYTHING. And sometimes the directions and advice they give seems aimed at the Android version. They keep giving me the same script over and over again. I deleted and reinstalled the app several times on their advice. I’m not tech-challenged, either. If I even bother contacting support, it’s because I’ve exhausted every possible way to try and fix it on my own. The problem with this app is that they don’t know how to fix it either. Finally one of them admitted to me that all of the premium features are still in beta. That’s right—they expect you to buy a subscription for unfinished, untested software. I am old enough to remember when software companies either paid you to beta test or at least gave you free beta-test copies. Not these guys. They advertise a finished product, and want you to buy it AND test it for them. And given that none of the paid features actually work, even calling it beta is being generous. If all you care about is making the Pulsetto device go, then this app works perfectly, and you won’t need premium. If you want any data or insights, you have to pay. But don’t bother doing that, because it won’t work.

The font is too small, the screens are too busy It’s a tool to help you sleep but if you wake up and need to reset you have to put glasses on to see and reset.
  • New update is awful

I don’t need graphics or video of whatever. Why would you get rid of previous settings like intensity? Now I have to change it every time I use it. Decoration at the cost of function is never a good idea.

The new update made last version not friendly use. The timer now it’s more visible on the center, with no reason for that, was better before update. To adjust the intensity level now it’s harder. In the bottom left part you have to click and open and adjust. Was a way more easier before.
  • New update is terrible UX

The new app update makes everything more complicated. Now it takes multiple presses for features that used to be one step away. Like changing the intensity used to just be pressing plus or minus, now you have to open a menu and slide the intensity level over. It is WAY more annoying because you can’t just start at full intensity. Seriously do your app designers even use your own product? Change the app back this new one is terrible.
  • Like it but

It tries to sell you the premium app version constantly.

To begin with, I was upset to find out that the device won’t work without using Bluetooth and an App, but I really wanted to see if it will help my anxiety. The app logs me out at least once a week, which is annoying. I wish there was the option to turn off the light all together because it’s quite an interruption if you are trying to use it before falling asleep. Even on the lowest setting, the light is really bright. It seems that the stimulation is the same for all options (stress, calm, sleep, pain all feel the same). I do like the meditation and music features. And I do like that you can add more time since 4 minutes just doesn’t seem like enough for me.
  • Vaguely disreputable

The amount of positive reviews is for the device NOT the app. I hate the amount of pop ups I have to deal with just to use my device. I HATE buying something and then needing to buy a yearly subscription just to use the dang thing, though. Plus there are two different prices offered in the pop ups which show to me that this company is money grubbing and vaguely disreputable and that annoys me, too. Love the actual device though. Such a shame about how the actual company runs, though. Plus support didn’t actually support me with what I needed and was ai assisted so it gave me a whole bunch of information about slightly related and tangential issues and was more of another thing to manage then was helpful. Think twice before purchasing this particular device, although I LOVE the actual device itself but there might be others that don’t need apps (imagine that??? Probably not though🙄) or include subscriptions with the cost of device🤷🏻‍♀️
