    The app spends so much time, buffering, reloading and timing out every time I go to the chat/messages option. It’s quite frustrating and I may as well go on the desktop.

    The app is slow, unresponsive, and difficult to use. Beyond that we paid for a subscription to find a nanny. All of the babysitter’s on the site tag themselves as nannies so the search isn’t useful. Support didn’t help either

    Navigation and features are nice, however I am unable to use it without having to close and reopen it every time I want to go to a new message or review applicants for jobs posted as it constantly freezes.

    This app is not easy to navigate, you’re constantly having to close it out and reopen in order to move from one application to another. When reviewing profiles it takes a long time to load and freezes up. Really bad app for something that has to have a paid subscription for.

    The website for care.com is horrible and this app isn’t much better. It freezes up all the time. So frustrating to use. It seems to be impossible to message a babysitter on the app without creating a job and agreeing to pay for the job through the app.

    It’s so, so, slow. It’s so slow that every time I try to load a message I have to close out the app and reopen. I’m paying $40 a month to use this app and it’s been quite painful.

    This app is so incredibly slow that it becomes unusable. Opening messages take so long that I give up and just go to the website on my mobile. Absolutely worthless.

  • Charging card just to contact a potential baby sitter is absolutely Insane

    After paying $40 just to use the freakin app. They are requesting a $200+ hold on my card JUST to contact a potential sitter. I’m getting my money back and never using this app again.

  • Predatory Charge practices - use caution

    I signed up for the premium subscription in summer 2023, every three months. It auto renewed without sending an email until January 2025 when my bank finally flagged it as fraud. Keep in mind, I never found any care help on this site, never hired a single person, and have not logged in since fall 2023. Again, never any notifications about my subscription still being active. This is clearly a scam on care.com’s part. I recommend that you do not sign up for the premium membership. Be careful out there, parents.
