  • Lacks a lot in a social media app

    First of all this app does nothing to stop the proliferation of drugs! Members can smoke illegal drugs and hold onto drug paraphernalia in their profile pics and it’s ALLOWED! And the app has no way to report them or other issues. There is a check list but you can’t comment on anything so it doesn’t give you a sense of safety at all! The live streams are also full of people doing drugs! They monitor for sex but someone is right in front of you doing illegal drugs! There is no wonder why this app isn’t very popular. It has various safety concerns and I can predict in the future they will be the target of a lawsuit if they aren’t careful. You can’t use bots to monitor those live videos I can’t tell you the awful things I’ve seen that weren’t even really sexually related but u can’t report it bc it’s just a check box and none of them reflect anything to do with drug use and other things I’ve seen.

    It seems that Growlr interrup the flow of texting, the other end stop sending me when he does but never comes. Review the system please. We have to exchange whatsapp number because we get lost and never seal a deal of meeting

    It’s an amazing site is just too many scammers on here it would be nice if they could add the feature you have that in your history of location like other sites have I love the only thing really is just the fake profiles and scammers that’s it but everything else is amazing

    GROWLR app seems a bit wonky, at times. Also, I’ve lost my text threads more than once, and dealt with BOTS on several occasions. It doesn’t appear that the app offers users much in the way of timely or considerate tech support, which is a crying shame, frankly.

    Been a PRO member for over 8 years, Within the last 18 months I’ve been inundated with spam, bots, and fake accounts using celebrity pics. Most of them have been pictures of the crown Prince of Dubai. I immediately report the profile. Sometimes I even email support directly. Always get same answer “please report “ …BUT the profiles don’t get deleted. Weeks later the offending profiles are STILL on Growlr and active?! When you block someone they can still see your profile and can make a screenshot of your profile and go use it for nefarious purposes! Why has there not been a security update in years or any update for that matter? Screenshot block?? AND now Bookmarks are random not geographical anymore ?? Support please listen to your paid subscribers!!!

    Told my profile was reported. Never said why. I get that’s the way of most apps but doesn’t make it right and there is nothing I did wrong unless you think replying to a profile as being fake is wrong. Literally all I said.

    I’ve tried this app for years and it just gets worse and worse as time goes by. It seems like there are less and less real people on here and it’s just more and more scammers. And it’s so hard to find someone who is actually online. You click on a profile and they were last online 7 hrs, 10 hrs, 15 hours ago. Don’t like that you can’t filter that. I had a paid membership for years and cancelled it because of all the issues. Started it again and thought would be different but it’s worse. Not worth it. Time to cxl renewal.

    I like the app. It does need some improvement to save time and speed thru. Ex: to see a profile and any picture items a click. The same for sending a woof or something. Usually three clicks to get thru the process. Would be nice to have a slide feature to next profile or picture. As for the people on here runs the gamut. That's my two sense. Adding this piece to my review. Seems there are more and more people scamming this site. I am getting messages from people offering me their link to escorts or sex sites. These are unsolicited. I report them to GROWLr and they seem to do nothing about. I’ve been a paid member for years. I will no longer pay them money for their site because of all the scammers. Update review: 10/24/19 at the moment super frustrated with the app and their customer service. I had to restore my iPhone and when I did that I lost all my pw’s and I have not been able to get back on line with my paid account. I’ve contact customer serve, tried to restore my password. Set up new account and nada. It took 4 days to get a response from customer service people and still going back and forth with no resolution😩 my renewal is combining up on Nov 12. Not sure I’ll renew. Adding to the above…. Too many scammers on this app! Too many bots. 🤖 and today I got a-message from this asian woman who has multiple accounts all over social media accounts. This is the end for me. 1027/24

    I try and buy a shout once a month on this app. It never goes through and it’s a nightmare to get refunded. It never works. It never happens. This app is a scam. Use something else.
