The app launches, renders a black screen with a white spinner.. and that’s it.
  • The ‘5 Star’ SF Chronicle!

The Chronicle is by far the best produced newspaper in America! Quality writing, beautiful photo’s and page layout, clean fonts, great Sports reporting, up to date Real Estate trends, and must read Entertainment! We need quality and professional presentation like the San Francisco Chronicle every week in our lives for now and forever! Thank You, Joanne & Greg Elliott, Fresno California.
  • Poof and it’s gone

This may be your last chance to view the disappearance of an American newspaper in Real Time! Once the most comprehensive newspaper in Northern California, the Chronicle has systematically reduced coverage, reporters, sections and size. Reporting is regularly dated as the Chronicle turns to outside sources for its “news.” Reporters space is reduced as is the entire newspaper. See it now before it is completely gone!

This app is improving, but occasionally has bugs. One example is when I open an SF Chronicle article link, it will open the app, but not show the article I was intending to look at. I have to switch back to re-tap the link so that the app shows it.

The SF Chronicle epitomizes how non-partisan accountability works in local democracy. Everyone should subscribe to support their efforts to expose what works and what doesn’t in local government.

Grew up in the Bay Area, and I can’t imagine not having the San Francisco Chronicle around
  • Difficult to cancel

They make it easy to sign up, but to cancel you have to call on the phone before 1pm. This is blatant dark design and a sad business model. If people want to cancel, then improve your product. Don’t make it harder for them to cancel.

San Francisco native who has lived in Philadelphia the last 11 years. Having access to the Chron virtually is not as nice a print media, but it still allows me to feel connected to my city and be in the know. Solid writers, great stores and an app that works very well!

So many penis pill ads. Incessant. Make it stop. Inappropriate.
