It seems like SW doesn’t know why people use this app. It’s so confusing, can’t get to what you want to do easily.

The app only lets you add 4 expenses per day before you have to get the premium version

This app used to be super useful and I used it frequently for trips and roommates. Now with “Splitwise Pro” the basic app is practically unusable. Don’t even bother with this app anymore. I know after next trip I’ll be finding something else.
  • Great app, ruined by greed

While the app is incredibly helpful when splitting costs on trips, especially when there are multiple currencies involved, it recently has become a subscription based app. Features like converting to one currency are now hidden behind a greedy paywall. $5 per month is incredibly steep, especially considering I only use the app 2-4 times a year.

    Easy to use. So handy!
  • 3 entries a day limit?

Instead of making their subscription more enticing to join, they decided to make their free version virtually usable to entice you to subscribe. Don’t you just love it when companies charge you extra for something they once gave you for free?
  • Good software, poor price

I understand the need to charge for software, but the flood of everyone needing to be a subscription is a death by 1000 cuts. There is far better software available for far less, and the server requirements for this app cannot possibly justify the massive price. I would pay no more than $20/ year for this, and even that would be high.
