As I had already played San Andreas, I was reluctant to try GTA III because it is somewhat “retro,” and we have already seen Liberty city redone with GTA IV. There is somewhat of a learning curve, with the map being difficult to navigate and the various gangs that will shoot you at certain stages in the story. However, after a while the game really grew on me. The radio sounds very early 00’s and the gritty grey feeling is cool. The controls are overall good and the camera movement is actually very good. And although the character doesn’t speak it is not an impediment to the storytelling. Overall a good game, and a great mobile game especially. Definitely one of the best on the App Store.

The first 3d GTA game. Pretty solid game. Though very hard and unfair at times. Hasn’t aged the best. Definitely the Dark Souls of the GTA franchise.
