  • Some can't see the forest for the trees

When I first read all the reviews, I was skeptical, but then some of my teams started to use TeamSnap ONE. If you used the old TeamSnap app, it's definitely a change, but it's BETTER. The app is so much faster. There's no lag. There are no ads whatsoever. Chat actually works. I can start group chats, add people, remove people, and do all the things I would expect to do in a chat application. I'm guessing that some of the negative reviews are due to a change in layout and a change in behavior, because this is a quality app.

THERE IS NO OPTION OR PLACE TO TRACK PLAYER STATS. THERE IS ALSO NO WAY TO ADD EMAIL CONTACTS FOR PLAYERS, YOU GET A DUMB INVITE CODE YOU HAVE TO COPY AND EMAIL TO EVERYONE. TEAM SNAP IS RUN BY A BUNCH OF CLOWNS
  • Teamsnap reimagined: in a worse way

They took teamsnap and removed the redeeming qualities. It’s just a poor version of what Teamsnap was. Logs me out mid typing a message, no way to really separate or parse multiple teams schedules, it splits parents up for the same player instead of having each player have all their people in one spot. If you’re moving from Teamsnap, find a new app.
  • Updates

What’s with the constant updates? I’m sick of having to update the app every fourth time I open it. And the functionality doesn’t seem to be improving, so maybe cool it with all the updates.

No time keeping, no comments during games. The new app is a huge downgrade from the old one.

There are several features that are not as good as what we came to expect from the original TeamSnap. Layout and Navigation within the app is absolute terrible. Switching between multiple teams is horrible. We use this app for soccer and they have removed the game timer and the ability to type in notes during a live event (game). This was a great feature that allowed teams to note goals, assists, and other key events during a game - but none of this is possible in this ‘new’ and ‘improved’ app!
  • Needs improvement and ability to add volunteers

The app is nice but the old snap had more capabilities. We need the volunteer sign-up function back please!
  • Lost functionality not worth “cleaner” look

Overall this looks cleaner than Team Snap, but all of the best functionality that made TS my preferred youth sports app were eliminated. The game clock was eliminated from the live game feature, in addition to the live event chat. Many parents relied on the in app game clock during games. It was also much easier to track game progress from afar. The calendar function is worse than before, too. The only way to get updates to my personal calendar that my family uses for organization is to subscribe. However this is incredibly slow to update, if at all. I also do not have the option to add indicated events to my calendar anymore, which is helpful for quicker updates when schedules change. Less impactful, but noticeable this year, as we have a largely new team, is the roster. No more pictures to help learn who is who, in addition to no visible parent contact information if I want to connect with another parent outside of the app. I absolutely prefer the old app to this one.
