The Pour Over

Edit: There IS a free version, but it was not easy to get to. The gamification of news reading also seems to be opposed to the stated goal of helping us spend less time on news. I’ll stick to the emails and podcast as they seem to distract me a lot less than trying to earn acorns, play games, and decorate a cartoon squirrel. Original review: I assumed this would be free like the 3x-weekly TPO emails are, so I downloaded it. Those emails are very helpful, and I was expecting the same content at the same price in a pretty format. Instead, they make you input an email address, name, and fill out a whole quiz just to learn it’s a paid app. Who does that? I checked the description to see if I’d missed it, but there’s no price listed. Apple does mention all the personal data they collect. For me, this is a miss, by miles.

I love having this moved over to the App. It’s so nice to spend 10-15 mins reading and learning and having a biblical lens applied.

Very well though out, clear, unbiased, and fun games.

Just calm facts with the long term eternal perspective in mind

This is the best news app. I can get my news, and then I can practice a Bible verse. I love the recite feature they’ve created for the Bible verse; amazing. It’s like something from Duolingo but for Bible. Such a fantastic thoughtful way to teach scripture and apply it. The news is clear, concise and easy to digest. Love the prayer feature too. I tried the little games, I didn’t love them. Word search yes, I’ll take that any day but the others were strange and honestly a little pointless. Overall, I would recommend the POUROVER App to anyone looking for a news app that will help them get their news life under control and bring Christ into the center of it all. Fantastic.

I am thankful for The Pour Over. I walk away with wisdom but also with peace after reading. God is in control and I am able to pray that his will be done. I am able to pray that righteousness prevail and have confidence in my heart that God will see us through when we stay focused on him.

Although, this world is chaotic and feel uncontrollable. We know with coming back to the Lord and the word keeps us aligned with our Creator in the middle of the darkness that plagues this world . I enjoy getting up to date with current events with pour over !

The Pour Over helps me to put the news in perspective. It reminds me that Jesus should be first and that God is in control of the world.

I didn't realize I'd have to choose numerous answers about myself that didn't fit, then commit to a payment plan. I just want to listen to the Pour Over.

Sooo good
