Description

Jesus Calling is your yearlong guide to living a more peaceful life. The Jesus Calling App is the mobile version of the time-tested classic packed with digital and audio features that make this daily devotional more accessible than ever. Experience a deeper relationship with Jesus as you savor the presence of the One who understands you perfectly and loves you forever. With Scripture and personal reflections, New York Times bestselling author Sarah Young brings Jesus' message of peace—for today and every day. By spending time in the presence of the Savior with the much-loved devotions from Sarah Young, you will: • Feel comforted by a daily word of hope and encouragement • Be reassured of Jesus' unending blessings and love for you • Receive gentle guidance based on daily Scripture readings • Connect with Jesus further with reflection and meditation based on God’s Word Written as if Jesus Himself is speaking directly to you, Jesus Calling invites you to experience peace in the presence of the Savior who is always with you. These writings are personal reflections based on Jesus’ own words of hope, guidance, and peace within Scripture—penned by one who loved Him and revered His Word. The Bible is the only infallible, inerrant Word of God, and author Sarah Young kept her writings consistent with that unchanging standard during her lifetime. She wrote from the perspective of Jesus speaking, to help readers feel more personally connected with Him. So, the first person singular (“I,” “Me,” “My,” “Mine”) always refers to Christ; “you” refers to you, the reader. Purchased in October 2023 and the app will not let me restore my purchase. It keeps asking for a recurring subscription. I can only read the first 7 days of January. Everything else is locked. Apparently, this is a common problem. I sent support an email. I hope they respond. It appears that others with the same issue are not getting a response. Do better … this isn’t right.

I purchased the full access app years ago and I updated it and I have to pay to read the devotions. I didn’t know Jesus charged for his word. Will there be an update to fix this?
  • Great but not for sharing

Great app. Easy. But not for sharing. Has the option to Share but tried sharing to FB and all it did was post a link to the app through the App Store. Then I tried copying to my Dropbox. All it did was create a file of never-ending code. This app is def not Share-friendly. UPDATE 11/20/24: I only have to pay for the devotional book ONE TIME but now I have to pay $3/mo or $30/year for the app??? Seriously??? If I could give this app 0 stars I would. But I have to give at least 1 star. Very, very sad that this app has resorted to this.

Jesus Is Calling In the quiet moments, soft and still, A light emerges, bending my will. An inspiration, a guiding flame, In times of need, I call its name. When worry whispers, deep and low, Its comfort wraps me, steady and slow. A weapon forged in truth and grace, To fight the battles the enemy lays. A necessary tool, my daily guide, Through each moment, it walks beside. I read its words, my heart takes flight, Then read again, and find new light. Morning offerings, humble and true, Lifted to God, refreshed and renewed. At day’s end, its wisdom flows, Drawing me closer as my spirit grows. Jesus is calling, faithful and near, A voice of love, a balm for fear. In its embrace, my soul takes wing, A gift from the Lord—a sacred thing.
  • I bought this all but they want me to subscribe

I bought this app years ago and I have enjoyed using it but suddenly they removed access to the devotional I paid for and want me to subscribe monthly. It’s not what I paid for. It’s dishonest. I’m waiting to see if they will respond. I’ve already reached out before and they unlocked it but now I’m unable to read the devotional again.

It constantly amazes me how this devotion speaks to me on a daily basis. I clearly hear Gods voice calming, encouraging, convicting, guiding and loving me through Sarah’s book. I strive to be this connected to God.

We have used this app for years after getting the lifetime app. Now it no longer works. The support team ignores my messages. If Sarah was alive today she would be appalled.

I have been reading Jesus Calling every morning as my Devotional since 2007. I can’t imagine starting my day any other way, and with each morning I hear the voice of God anew, afresh. A miraculous way to be in relationship with the Lord and let Him speak into my daily life. I’m so grateful. God Bless.
  • They went money hungry and now I paid for nothing

I purchased this app when it was a one time purchase. Kind of like buying a book and and having access whenever. Now they decided to charge a monthly fee which is ridiculous! Maybe there’s more features, but all I want is to be able to navigate through like a normal book. I’m not paying to read-read material over and over! I basically lost m money. All my bookmarked favorite selections are gone. If I want to read I need to start on January 1st. I have a physical copy of this book as well so technically I paid twice. The app s far more convenient however as I’m always on the go and can access it whenever. It just goes to show that even developers of Christian content care more about $$$$ than reaching people with God’s word and encouragement. I will never again purchase any of the Sara young series for this reason; electronic or physical. The 2 physical copies I have (Jesus listens is the other) will be thrown away. Not donated because you don’t want people to have access to these unless they pay a monthly fee. SHAME ON YOU. Pure greed!!
