I originally got OneNote while looking for a good Apple Pencil compatible hand writing app. This has by far been the most accurate and smooth when comparing to writing with pen and paper. Would recommend 100%

Pitiful. Ridiculous.

This app is terrible. It never lets me sync or connect to my account.

When selecting something, you’re making it impossible when trying to drag left to right (or right to left when close to the left side of page) - it thinks you’re trying to go back. It’s infuriating and unnecessary. It used to work fine but over the past few months an update happened that ruined it.

Stop asking for a rating every time I open the app

I’ve been using OneNote for over a decade and really like that I can edit on my work computer and my phone. However, more recently the iPhone app stopped cooperating with selecting text to copy. When I double tap to select a word and then slide to expand the selection, OneNote interprets my action as an app change and slides the whole window and deselects my text. I’m learning to select and expand to the left, but it’s kind of a pain.

OneNote is my daily driver for handwritten pdf notes and annotations, but as an iPad + Apple Pencil user, the eraser workflow is a constant frustration. Right now, to erase, I have to stop writing, tap the eraser tool in the menu, then switch back to the pen—this breaks my train of thought mid-note. Native iPad apps let me flip the Pencil to use the built-in eraser instantly, which feels seamless. Adding this Pencil eraser toggle would make OneNote way more intuitive for handwritten note-takers. It’s a small feature that would have a huge impact on daily use! Love the app overall—hoping this gets prioritized.

This is a great for iPad notes but it could be better if the feature was similar to GoodNotes draw feature. On GoodNote if you hold at the end of drawing a line it will make it straight and level. Same thing with shapes, it will recognize what shape you’re drawing and make it perfect if you hold the pen down at the end of your drawing action. This could really be a 5 Star app if this is incorporated.

I spend more time fixing sync issues than actually using the app. Different versions act differently on different operating systems.
